It's less than a month to December 21, the end of the world according to the Mayan calendar and a Russian shop owner had the bright idea to sell what are called "apocalypse kits".
The kits are sold in jest, but they are selling.
The little kits contain a mini-bottle of vodka, a tin of sardines, matches, candles, soap, rope, medicines and a notebook, and stores in Moscow, St. Petersburg and other Russian cities want to buy them as well.
After hearing what's in the kit one man exclaimed, "just one little bottle of vodka?!"
Authorities stepped in and said the shop can't sell vodka because it doesn't have a license, so the shop owner had to start using small bottles of water.
In the same vein, authorities in Bugarach, France are preparing for an onslaught on visitors, because of an internet rumor that the tiny village will somehow survive the apocalypse.
Authorities are not happy about hundreds of visitors as December 21 approaches.
