SUNBURY-ON-THAMES, SURREY, ENGLAND -- It's the 14th annual Mascot National Race.
Going into the event, the odds were on "Mr. Bumble", the Barnet Football Club mascot who'd won the last two races.
However, because of that...and his foot size...yes, that's right...Mr. Bumble was put back to row two.
When the 27 runners took off, a mascot wearing a hardhat took the lead.
Several mascots tripped over large furry feet, while Mr. Bumble surged up on the outside of the 200-yard course.
But a three-peat was not to be!
Barry Barratt a safety mascot for a building firm stormed to victory.
Jamacian Usain Bolt may be the fastest man in the world, but until he runs dressed like a lobster.
Barry Barratt will be the world's fastest mascot.
