SCOTLAND -- Just yesterday, we mentioned the quirky events that take place weekly in Great Britain.

That, of course, includes Scotland, where swamp soccer is played…although they call it swamp football.

Swamp soccer is a six-on-six contest with no grass and lots of mud.
The competition in Scotland over the weekend was dubbed the "Swamp Soccer World Cup."

Twenty teams came together who were willing to get down and dirty in the name of victory or fun.

Fighting through the mud makes the game exhausting, so a match only lasts 24 minutes and unlimited substitutes are allowed but you can't change your shoes.
