According to Nielsen's "State of the Media: Social Media Report" one third of Americans between 18 and 24 use social media while in the bathroom.

Uh huh, while sitting on the can.

Apparently the findings aren't all that surprising, the group believes people have been texting and surfing on their phones in the bathroom for a while.

But, mobile social media use is up. Way up.

Americans spend 27 billion minutes a month on the Facebook app and its downloads for facebook and twitter increased by 63 percent in 2012.
