JEMEZ MOUNTAINS, N.M. -- Tonight there are people combing the landscape of the rocky mountains armed with big dreams and a few cryptic clues.
They are looking for buried treasure, a 42-pound bronze chest filled with hundreds of gold nuggets, rare coins and jewels worth millions, and hidden by Forrest Fenn.
Fenn made millions as a art collector and when he was diagnosed with terminal kidney cancer, he decided to leave a good part of his fortune to whoever could find it somewhere in the New Mexico Mountains.
Fenn wrote a memoir with a poem offering nine clues to the treasure. That was three years ago. His cancer is in remission and the treasure is out there somewhere.
