Maybe it's happened to you...someone uninvited shows up for
lunch.

It happened at a five-star hotel in La Jolla, California this week. Guests at the hotel found themselves sharing the patio at the Pantai Inn with a sea lion.

The Pantai Inn is about a thousand feet from The La Jolla Cove, a popular hang out for sea lions. This is what happens when you have a beach-side resort in California.

SeaWorld San Diego was called to remove the 27 pound female pup. The hotel's surveillance camera showed the pup waddled her way up to the patio from the beach.

Seaworld took the animal away...saying it was malnourished and dehydrated.

The pup is now on the mend at SeaWorld. Eventually it'll be returned to the wild.

The park says it's rescued 131 marine mammals from local beaches and one from a patio.
