Delavan man accused of burglarizing downtown businesses indicted

PEORIA, Ill. -- A Delavan man who is accused of burglarizing several downtown businesses was indicted on four burglary charges Tuesday.

Daniel W. Stewart, 23, is accused of burglarizing the Rhythm Kitchen, Emack and Bolios, Nailon Corporation and Java Jolt Coffee.

The burglaries began on September 13. Stewart was arrested on October 23.

Stewart is being held in Tazewell County Jail due to his alleged connection to similar burglaries in East Peoria.

He is scheduled to be arraigned on December 5.
