Man arrested for having gun at Quad City Airport

MOLINE, Ill -- A 58 year old Georgia man has been arrested after Authorities found a loaded handgun at the Quad City International Airport.

John Van Epps was taken into custody after a routine search by TSA agents yielded a loaded .38 caliber Walther handgun inside a carry-on bag.

Van Epps was charged with unlawful use of weapons.

VanEpps has a Georgia concealed weapon permit, but weapons are not permitted on airplane.

He was released on five thousand dollars bond.
