BLOOMINGTON, Ill. -- A Bloomington man has been arrested on charges that he assaulted a city detective.
Thomas Bartholomew is alleged to have fled after he punched a detective in the face while being questioned Thursday.
Last night, the 42-year-old Bartholomew was taken into custody after a SWAT team went into the Phoenix Towers Apartments.
The McLean County State's Attorney's office has yet to file formal charges, but Bartholomew is being held in jail on two counts of aggravated battery on the peace officer.
