PEORIA, Ill. -- Peorian Dion Alexander was sent to prison for 11 years Friday for a series of non-fatal shootings two years ago.
At the time, Alexander was out of prison on appeal after being sentenced to a 24-year prison term for a shooting inside Woodruff High School in 2005.
Alexander avoided another jury trial by pleading guilty to being a felon in possession of a firearm.
The 11-year term will be served consecutive with the earlier 24 year term.
