EAST PEORIA, Ill. -- One of the men accused of stealing more than $1 million in Caterpillar property has been sentenced to prison.

Eliot Wells, 35, pled guilty to felony charges Thursday, and was sentenced to five years prison.

Wells and John Peters, 50, were arrested in September after police found $300,000 worth of stolen Caterpillar property in Peters home.

Both men are former Caterpillar employees and allegedly snuck the stolen property out in lunch pails.

John Peters is scheduled to be in court March 17.
