Man charged with robbing pizza delivery driver pleads not guilty

PEORIA, Ill. -- A Peoria man plead not guilty to an armed robbery of a Papa John's delivery driver.

Deshaun Childs, 21, was arrested for allegedly robbing the pizza man.

In April, the delivery driver said he just finished making a delivery, when he was approached by a male who demanded money.

The suspect allegedly did not show a gun, but implied he had one.

The victim gave him approximately $30 in cash.

Childs was arrested shortly after.

A scheduling conference is set for June 20th.

A trial is scheduled for June 30th.
