Monopoly reveals new its new game token

PAWTUCKET, RI -- Hasbro announced Wednesday that the cat has been chosen as the newest game token for Monopoly.

The cat was competing against the robot, the guitar, the diamond ring and the helicopter.

The cat was able to edge out its competitiors in a Facebook poll that Hasbro launched in January.

Unfortunately, the addition of the cat meant that one of the classic pieces had to go. The iron was voted out before the deadline.
