MORTON, Ill. -- Time to slow down as you approach Morton on I-74. Construction has started back up.

IDOT crews returned to the site today.

Much of the construction will be focused on the overpasses of Jackson and Jefferson Streets.

Crews will also finish up work at Morton Avenue.

"Expect lane closures at various times of the day," said IDOT spokesperson, Brian Williamsen. "We will do those at night whenever we can to minimize the traffic impact. But there will be lane closures involved, and we will do our best to make sure people are aware of that. When you do see it, just be patient."

The project is expected to be complete by the end of 2015.

Work is also expected to begin on parts of Route 116 near Metamora this summer.
