MORTON, Ill. -- A Girl Scout leader from Morton will spend 10 days in jail after pleading guilty to misdemeanor theft charges.

According to the Journal Star, Suzanne Ostrom was initially alleged to have stolen up to $7,500 from the troop she directed for personal use.

The discrepancy in the troop's account was discovered after an audit from the Girl Scouts of Central Illinois.

Ostrom, 36, will serve 10 days in jail and face a one-year probation.

Court records show Ostrom has already made full restitution.
