MORTON, Ill. – A Morton School has received top honors from the Department of Education.
Lincoln Elementary School has been named a 2013 National Blue Ribbon School.
The school is one of three schools outside the Chicago region to receive the honor.
“The Morton School District is deeply honored to have been recognized for the outstanding efforts, hard work and dedication from the students, leadership, teachers, parents and support staff at Lincoln Elementary School,” said Superintendent Dr. Lindsay Hall. “We appreciate this honor, and will continue these types of efforts for all students in our organization.”
The National Blue Ribbon Schools Program award recognizes public and private elementary, middle and high schools where students either achieve very high learning standards or are making notable improvements toward those standards.
