NBC will be the home of the Olympics through the year 2032.

NBC Universal announced Wednesday that it has acquired all media rights in the United States for six more Olympic games, adding to the three future Olympics NBC already has, the Olympics will now be on NBC and its family of networks for the next 18 years.

It is the longest us Olympic sports rights agreement in history and includes broadcast, cable, digital and mobile devices.

NBC has broadcast 11 of the last 14 Olympics including the last eight and streamed every single Olympic event from London and Sochi.

NBC's Olympic tradition has grown from 171 hours of programming on one network in 1996 to more than 3,500 hours from London and 1,500 hours of coverage across five networks for the Sochi games earlier this year.
