Victims identified in Tuesday's homicide in Pontiac

PONTIAC, Ill. -- The Livingston County coroner has identified both victims found dead in the Palamar Motel on Tuesday.

Other details of the crime are still slow to come out.

Officer's responded to the Palamar Motel for a well being check just after 11 a.m. Tuesday.

They discovered two bodies and a third person who was described as being "gravely injured," but still alive. That person was taken to OSF Saint James-John W Albrecht Medical Center in Pontiac.

Authorities say that there is one male and one female dead. The male has been identified as Tyler R. Friant, 22, of Pontiac. The female is Jean Ann Corrice, 57, of Pontiac.

The identity of the third person has not been released.

Autopsies were performed on Wednesday but the coroner has not released the cause of death for Friant or Corrice.

Pontiac Police Chief Jim Woolford says he believes it is an isolated incident and is not looking for any suspects.
