NORMAL, Ill. -- A Normal man is being held on $6 million bond on five counts of Aggravated Criminal Sexual Abuse.

James E. Carter, 45, was arrested Monday after police executed a search warrant at his home in the 700 block of Normal Avenue.

Normal Police Chief Rick Bleichner said Carter’s arrest stems from “alleged acts online with persons younger than 18”.

Carter is also charged with five counts of violating the sex offender registration law.
