NORMAL, Ill. -- On Tuesday, patrol officers from the Normal Police Department responded to a residence in the North Meadow Village Trailer Park on a report of a female being held against her will.
Upon arrival Officers determined that a male had fled on foot and that he was wanted in Cook County for First Degree Homicide.
Normal police officers along with detectives and members of the U.S. Marshall’s Service located Joseph L Mathis, 33, at a business in the 1600 block of N. Main.
He was taken into custody without incident. Mathis is being held in the McLean County Jail on the warrant from Cook County and charges of unlawful restraint, obstructing justice, and domestic battery.
