Normal police searching for armed robbery suspect

NORMAL, Ill. -- Police are searching for a suspect that robbed a Kroger store on Tuesday morning.

Police responded to the grocery store at 1550 E. College Avenue just after 4:50 a.m. That is where they say an unknown male entered the business and demanded money from an employee before fleeing.

The male was said to be wearing blue jeans, a gray sweatshirt and displayed a handgun.
