PEORIA, Ill. -- Flames destroy a home in North Peoria.
Authorities say that the residents of the home were not there when the fire started.
Firefighters were called to the scene at 3443 Sylvan Lane at around 8:30 this morning.
When they arrived, the home was fully engulfed in flames.
Authorities say the fire started in a back room of the home near a wood burner. No offical word on the cause of the blaze.
