OSHA investigates death of J.F. Electric employee

TAZEWELL COUNTY, Ill. -- Officials with OSHA are investigating the apparent electrocution of an East Peoria man on Tuesday morning.

The victim is identified as Ryan-Michael Regan, 35.

The Tazewell County Sheriff's office said the electrocution occurred at 13807 Glenmar Drive outside of Pekin.

Regan was a lineman and was replacing a utility pole in the backyard on the home when he was electrocuted.

He had been a journeyman lineman for 15 years and was a proud member of the team of lineman who helped restore power to Washington and Pekin following the recent tornadoes.

Regan leaves begin a wife and four children.

Funeral services for Ryan-Michael Regan are scheduled for 11 a.m. Saturday, March 1 at Deiters Funeral Home and Crematory in East Peoria.

Visitation will be from 4 p.m. - 7 p.m. on Friday, February 28 at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions may be made to an Education Fund for Regan's children c/o CEFCU.
