EAST PEORIA, Ill. -- A local holiday tradition is now underway in East Peoria.
FOLEPI's Winter Wonderland opened Thursday evening at 5.
The two-mile long drive-thru has a number of lighted displays from ducks and dragons, to spaceships and trains.
And, a local favorite received a technical boost.
Earlier this year,m ICC students worked to improve the downhill skiers display.
"When people make that curve and they come around, they actually first start to see the display. They'll actually see that there's multiple skiers now running through the sequence," said Robert Cole, Facilities Director for City of East Peoria.
Folepi's Winter Wonderland runs through December 31, that includes Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, and New Year's Eve.
Sunday's through Thursday's the park will be open from 5 to 9 p.m.
It will stay open until 11 p.m on Fridays and Saturdays.
