One arrested in Galesburg shooting, other suspect still sought

GALESBURG, Ill. -- Galesburg police have arrested one person and are searching for another in connection to a Monday morning shooting.

At approximately 12:58 am , police responded to 212 West Main Street to investigate a report of shots fired.

A male victim was found on the seen suffering from a single gunshot wound. The victim was transported to Galesburg Cottage Hospital where he was treated and released for a minor gunshot wound to the left cheek.

Police arrested of William D. McClendon, 21, for Obstruction of Justice.

An arrest warrant was also obtained for Dominique D. McClendon for attempted murder, aggravated battery with a firearm, aggravated discharge of a firearm and unlawful possession of a firearm by a felon

The victim told authorities of an earlier confrontation at Diamonds, 240 West Main Street, with several bar patrons.

Police say that the incident appears to have continued outside the bar and to the parking lot were the shooting took place.
