BLOOMINGTON, Ill. -- The Illinois State Police are investigating a fatal crash that took place on I-74 near the Market Street exit.
Around noon Tuesday, a pickup truck rear-ended a parked IDOT truck on the should of I-55 near the Market Street Exit.
The driver, 53 year-old Gregory Malin of Shaker Heights, Ohio, was pronounced dead at the scene. Preliminary autopsy results show Malin died from multiple injuries of the head and chest.
McLean County Chief Deputy Coroner Barbara Nafziger says forensic toxicology tests have been ordered.
Two IDOT workers at the scene were not injured. The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
