EAST PEORIA, Ill -- The four  East Peoria homeowners affected by the landslides two weeks ago remain on edge as to what the next steps are in their lives. And with more rain in the forecast, that's putting residents on even higher alert.

"Right now I feel like were altogether and safe, but we're sort of just holding our belongings as we just float on a raft out in the middle of the sea by ourselves," said Kaitlin Ct. homeowner Rachel Allen.

It's been two weeks since Rachel, her husband Josh, and children were forced to evacuate.

"It's very very sad, we're going to lose almost the whole neighborhood at this end of the block, children playing, and people's lives have been forever hurt," said Allen's next door neighbor Lee Anne Meyers.

And with the addition of two to three inches of rain to come this weekend, that has many residents and neighbors concerned about all 4 houses.

"In the beginning, we thought we were going to wake up and find the houses off the edge the way they talked. I think that might happen now. That much rain, I just don't think it can handle it," said Meyers.

But Rachel Allen can, and will, should the worst happen.

"The day we were evacuated, I woke up that morning, and I can't explain it but there was such a peace in my heart the entire day and I've never had any experience like that before, and I just kept hearing in my heart the entire day, Rachel whatever happens to you, I God, hold you in my hands, that you will work this out," added Allen.

Now, there is a way you can help not only the Allen's, but the three other homeowners displaced by the landslide. A facebook page called *Operation on Stable Ground* has been set up. and there are fundraisers being scheduled so community members can donate in any way they can.

Their first event will be Trivia Night at Mashies in Pekin on Wednesday, May 22nd starting at 7:00 p.m.
