PEORIA, Ill. -- Illinois Environmental Protection Agency (IEPA) has issued an Air Quality Forecast for the Peoria region of Unhealthy for Sensitive Groups for Thursday, June 28, 2012, due to ground-level ozone levels.
It is recommended that you:
* Minimize or eliminating driving
* Carpool
* Trip-chaining (running errands in the same trip, rather than multiple separate trips)
* Refueling vehicles only in the evening
Tri-County Regional Planning Commission is therefore issuing an Ozone Alert for Thursday, June 28 as part of the Clean Air Action program.
Under Clean Air Action, TCRPC commits to notifying the public of days when Air Quality in the region is forecast to be Unhealthy for individuals sensitive to ozone or other air pollutants.
