PEORIA, Ill -- The death of a Peoria toddler in early march has been ruled a homicide.

14-month-old Harmoni Cole was found unresponsive her bed on March 2.

She was pronounced dead at OSF St. Francis medical center the following evening.

An autopsy revealed traumatic head injury suggestive of child abuse.

At a coroner's inquest this afternoon in Peoria, a six person jury found that Harmoni's death was a homicide.

A police detective testifying at the inquest said that no one has been charged with the death and was unable to say if anyone would likely be charged in the near future.

The police investigation remains ongoing.
