Central Illinois -- The first weekend of the 2012 parade of homes is in the books.

18 homes, scattered throughout the heart of Illinois, were open for the public to enjoy at their own pace on Saturday and Sunday.

Some of the homes were complete, but others, like one in Morton, are still in the construction phase.

People touring the homes ranged from those just browsing, to those wanting to buy, and those who were just trying to get ideas.

"We're looking for a house that probably has a master bedroom on the main floor and probably two or three bedrooms, depending on the size of the bedrooms, for the kids," said Chris Kimmey.

If you missed out on the tours, don't worry - the parade of homes is open again Saturday, June 23rd, and Sunday, June 24th, from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m.
