Parents, teachers to learn more about budget deficit in January

DUNLAP, Ill. -- Dunlap parents and teachers will learn about District 323's proposals to close a budget deficit next month.

The Peoria Jornal Star reports that the plan will be revealed during a January 15 board meeting.

During a meeting last week, Superintendent Dr. Jay Marino revealed that the deficit for 2013-2014 sits a $1.5 million.

It is expected to increase to more than $2 million in fiscal year 2015.
