PEORIA, Ill. -- More developments in a plan that would replace Peoria Stadium with a Walmart.

According to the Peoria Park Board's meeting agenda released on Friday, members are expected to consider two items related to Peoria Stadium during its next meeting.

The first is an offer by District 150 of over $1 million to buy out the park's interest in the stadium, essentially breaking the lease between the two.

The second is a letter from a Walmart attorney which offers a proposal to buy a portion of the Peoria Stadium to build a Walmart Super Center.

The meeting will be at the Gateway Building in downtown Peoria next Wednesday, June 26th at 6:00 p.m.

That meeting is open to the public.
