Pekin bridge open following train derailment

PEKIN, Ill. -- The Pekin Bridge is open following a train derailment Wednesday evening.

The city of Pekin reports the train pulling loaded cars of coal had partially derailed near the Pekin Bridge

Some of the cars lost suspension and fell over, spilling their load of coal.

Because of the derailment, the Pekin Bridge was closed during the evening hours.

No injuries were reported.
