Pekin building a total loss following Wednesday evening fire

PEKIN, Ill. – A Pekin building is believed to be a total loss following a Wednesday evening fire.

Pekin firefighters said they were called to 2218 Court Street around 9:15 p.m. Wednesday.

Fire investigators are still trying to determine the cause of the blaze which caused the roof to collapse into the second story of the building.

The building is home to Greg’s Garage Door Service and two apartments. It is considered a total loss.

No injuries were reported.

The Pekin Police Department said more information will be released at a later date.
