PEKIN, Ill. -- Organizers of a fundraiser at Willow School in Pekin say it's always special when kids help kids.

Students at Willow School presented a check to the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital on Monday.

For the past several weeks, 13 classes have been bringing in their loose change, and various restaurant fund raisers were held as well.

The Willow students also raised money during a bowl-a-thon.

"It's pretty exciting. This is one of our biggest years yet and to see the different classes, the different age levels, from 5 year olds to 9 year olds, get excited about raising money and helping out is unbelievable," said 3rd grade teacher, Michael Ritchason.

In the past 11 years, the Willow School Students have raised more than $55,000 for the children of St. Jude.
