PEKIN, Ill. – A Pekin woman has been sentenced to 6 years in prison for selling methadone to an undercover agent last year.

Heather Wise, 38, was arrested for that sale less than two weeks after the methadone related deaths of two Tazewell County men in May 2012.

Police said the men, Travis Whiteman, 22, of Pekin and Cody Schillinger, 19, of Morton, died after overdosing on methadone provided by Wise.

Wise sold the methadone to Daughlton Calvin, 19, of Morton who then gave it to the victims.

Calvin was sentenced in June to 12 years in prison for Drug-Induced Homicide.

Wise plead guilty in November to Possession of a Controlled Substance with Intent to Deliver.

Wise will receive credit for the 77 days she has been in custody since her arrest.

The Pekin woman whose methadone killed two men last year was sentenced Wednesday to six years in prison for selling more of the drug less than two weeks after they died.
