PEORIA, Ill -- Students and families at the Peoria Academy are celebrating their wide-range of cultures.

Thursday night, the school came together for a Multi-Cultural night.

The event allows families to see other children's traditions, customs, dance and sample food from around the world.

Jane Prest said she is glad her child's school offers such a diverse community.

"There's a wide diversity of children in Peoria, especially, because of different companies and through the world, throughout the U.S.," said Prest. "It's really nice for our children to mix."

Students at Peoria Academy represent more than 20 countries and 22 languages from around the world.
