PEORIA HEIGHTS, Ill. -- Peoria Heights officially kicked off the holiday season Saturday with its annual Christmas Walk.
Downtown businesses participated with special sales and extras. Shoppers could also enjoy horse-drawn carriage rides, music by the Main Street Quartet and a visit from Santa and Mrs. Claus.
The festivities are capped off with an evening Christmas Sing led by the Peoria Heights Congregation Church, and a tree lighting ceremony complete with cookies and hot chocolate.
