PEORIA, Ill -- The future of Peoria's Taft Homes is still hanging in the balance.
The Peoria Housing Authority Board of Commissioners met Monday to discuss relocating the housing project. The Taft Working group and the PHA agree a move is needed and now they looking for new locations.
The PHA plans to break up the 216 units across the city.
"We're modeling financial development scenarios based on the units per site," Brenda Coats, Peoria Housing Authority CEO said. "So, most likely, four sites somewhere in the community."
No official decision was made Monday. The group plans to discuss it further at their meeting on September 23rd.
