PEORIA, Ill -- Peoria Police are investigating a bank robbery that occurred Thursday afternoon.

Around 4:00 p.m. police responded to the Peoria Community Bank in the 6900 block of Knoxville Avenue.

Officers say the suspect allegedly displayed a demand note to the teller. The teller told police that she gave the suspect all of the money she had in her drawer.

The suspect took the money and placed it into a tan burlap bag and fled the scene.

The teller said that she did not see a weapon on the suspect's person.

The suspect has been described as a white male around 25 to 30 years of age wearing all black, including a black stocking cap.
