PEORIA, Ill. -- Peoria police are searching for a suspect after a mid-morning bank robbery, according to our partners at News Radio 1470.
Police say the incident occurred just before 9:30 Saturday morning at Heritage Bank on Harmon Highway.
They say a man entered the bank demanding money. He did not display a weapon. He fled from the scene on foot with an undetermined amount of cash. No one was injured.
Witnesses describe the suspect as an African-American man, about six feet tall, with facial hair, a mustache and tattoos on the side of his neck.
He was wearing a black hooded coat, jeans and a white hat. If you have any information you are asked to call Peoria police.
