All that was missing was Mr. Rogers and his cardigan today in East Peoria.
The Peoria Train Fair rolled in to the campus of Illinois Central College this afternoon. Fair goers found everything from basic model train starter kits, to more advanced models. Attendees also had the opportunity to trade items with each other, and run trains on a test track. Event coordinator Ron Brown says It's a hobby for young or old.
"It's a great way to pass the time, especially in the winter months, and the rainy days and all of that. You can go downstairs if you have a layout and work on your railroad, or work on the hobby, building kits and buildings and all of that kind of good stuff." said Brown.
The event ended at 3 this afternoon. The next will be November 19 at ICC's East Campus.
