PEORIA, Ill. -- A major road project could change the face of a major cross street in Peoria and the city asked residents for input on the final design.

Peoria Public Works held a public discussion Wednesday night for the Forrest Hill Avenue project.

The stretch of road between Sheridan and Knoxville will be getting new sidewalks, curbs and gutters.

"So, there is an opportunity to change the width of the street, to either narrow it or widen it and add bike lanes," said Scott Reeise, City of Peoria Engineer. "Whatever the residents want."

Construction will begin this summer.
