PEORIA, Ill -- The owner of a local drug store says she expects to be open Tuesday morning after an SUV crashed into the building Monday night.
Authorities say it happened at the Bogard drug store on Western Avenue in Peoria around 7:30 p.m. Police say according to witnesses, the driver of a white Chevy Blazer crashed into the building, then fled to a nearby house, and eventually into a nearby alley.
A building inspector says there was no significant structural damage. There were no injuries, since the store closed at 6 p.m.
