PEORIA, Ill. -- Homes across Peoria are losing value, according to the latest data released Tuesday by CoreLogic.
The data shows home prices in Peoria declined by a half percent in December of 2012 compared to the same time last year. On a month-over-month basis, home prices decreased by 0.9 percent in December 2012 compared to November 2012.
CoreLogic reports that national home prices increased by 8.3 percent in December 2012 compared to December 2011, the biggest year-over-year increase nationally since May 2006.
On a month-over-month basis, home prices increased by 0.4 percent from November to December of this year. CoreLogic data indicates 46 out of 50 states are experiencing year-over-year price gains.
