PEORIA, Ill. -- A Peoria man is in custody for two recent bank robberies.
Peoria Police arrested 36-year-old Clayton Keefer late Thursday afternoon for robberies at Peoria Community Bank January 17 and at Pekin’s Heartland Bank on Tuesday.
Keefer is alleged in both cases to have slipped the teller a note demanding money.
He was given the entire contents of the drawer in Peoria and reached over the counter and grabbed cash in Pekin. Keefer is being held at the Peoria County Jail.
