PEORIA, Ill -- Police are investigating an armed robbery that took place on the 1300 block of S. Faraday Avenue on Sunday.

Officers spoke to the 21 year-old victim at Methodist Medical Center. The victim had suffered facial injuries and potentially had a broken jaw.

The victim told police that he was walking northbound towards Starr Street when three black men approached him. One of the men asked him how much money he had. When the victim didn't answer, he was struck from behind by one of the other suspects.
