PEORIA, Ill -- A Peoria man says that he was beaten and robbed Sunday morning on the 1000 block of NE Perry Avenue.
The 36-year-old victim told officers that he was working on his car at around 11:15 a.m. when he was approached from behind by two subjects.
The first suspect was a black male holding a revolver and dressed in a red hooded sweatshirt with mask over his face. The suspect demanded money from the victim. The victim initially told him no, but the suspect then pointed the weapon at the victim's leg and threatened to shoot him.
The second suspect then hit the victim in the chest, causing him to fall to the the ground. The suspects took the victim's wallet out of his back pocket and fled the scene.
There are no known suspects in this crime.
