PEORIA, Ill -- Police are investigating the beating and robbery of a Peoria man that took place on Thursday at 3:00 p.m.
Police were called to the area of Westmoreland and Ann where they spoke to the 29 year-old victim.
The victim told officers that he was riding his bicycle in the area when he was approached by a group of roughly 20 males. He said one of the suspect pushed him off his bike and he was then punched and kicked by multiple suspects.
He said that several of the males went through his pockets and stole his cash, keys, cell phone and the bike.
Police spoke to witnesses who did not wish to be named and said they saw a very large group of males beat and rob the victim.
This incident is still being investigated.
