PEORIA, Ill. -- A Peoria man has been indicted on new charges in connection to a 2011 armed robbery and murder.

Anthony Barlow, 25, is accused of shooting Yahya Doud "John" Mahmoud in November of 2011 during an armed robbery.

Mahmoud was shot in his car in the 500 block of East Republic Street. He died nearly three weeks later from his injuries.

After being featured as our Manhunt Monday fugitive, Barlow was arrested in June of this year on armed robbery charges in connection to the incident.

On Tuesday, he was indicted on murder charges.

Barlow is the second person charged with the homicide. Robert Buford, 25, is currently serving a 20-year prison sentence after being convicted of aggravated battery.

Barlow is due in court on Thursday for arraignment.
